Ruth Kwon is an Associate in the Litigation Department at Sklar Kirsh LLP. Ruth’s experience includes representing companies and individuals in various stages of civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ruth worked on commercial matters, including disputes involving misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair business practice, breach of contract, fraud, and employment disputes. Ruth has also handled matters involving intellectual property and real estate disputes.
Ruth grew up in Los Angeles, earned her B.A. in English at the University of California, Los Angeles and her M.A and Ph.D. in English at the University of Southern California. Prior to attending law school, Ruth worked as a college educator, teaching Asian American Studies, English, and Humanities. She also owned and operated a retail tile store and worked with contractors, builders, and large institutions such as the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles World Airports.
While Ruth was a student at Loyola Law School, she was a law clerk at an appellate firm and worked as an extern at the Writers Guild of America West. She also served as a production editor for Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.
Ruth is a member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles, the Korean American Bar Association, and the Asian Pacific American Women’s Lawyer Alliance.
