RACHAEL W. HIATT, ASSOCIATE

Rachael W. Hiatt is an Associate in the Litigation Department at Sklar Kirsh LLP.  Rachael has considerable experience in complex commercial litigation, including disputes involving breach of contract, intellectual property, fraud, bankruptcy, collections, and employment issues.  Rachael has also handled matters involving real estate, construction defect, and environmental claims.  Prior to joining Sklar Kirsh, Rachael practiced law in Northern California, most recently at Hopkins & Carley, ALC where her time was devoted to an array of complex civil disputes.

A native of Los Angeles, Rachael earned her B.A. in Psychology and Spanish at the University of California, Santa Barbara and her J.D. at the University of California, Davis, School of Law.  In law school Rachael was an articles editor of the UC Davis Law Review and a senior articles editor for the Environs: Environmental Law and Policy Journal.

Rachael is engaged in her community and is a passionate supporter of Jewish Family Services.  She volunteered her time with the organization by assisting refugees with resume drafting in order to secure employment in the U.S.  In her free time Rachael enjoys traveling, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, and roller skating.
