JERRY L. KAY, OF COUNSEL

Jerry L. Kay is Of Counsel in the Real Estate Department at Sklar Kirsh, LLP.  Jerry focuses his practice on business and real property transactions and litigation.  As part of his real property practice, Jerry handles commercial and residential transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, zoning, formation of ownership entities, and lending and other financing structures.

Within his litigation practice, Jerry’s focus is on business and real estate matters.  His real estate practice includes acquisitions, dispositions, lease exchange, eminent domain, and entitlement actions.

In addition, Jerry works with corporations and other business entities on contract negotiations, business formations, and as outside general counsel.

Jerry advises investors, sellers, and purchasers of restaurants, office buildings, apartments, retail centers, industrial buildings, resort and vacation properties, mobile home parks, residential properties, mixed-use developments, and raw land on a variety of transactional and litigation related matters.

He also represents landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions involving office buildings, retail spaces, warehouse properties, and medical offices.

Jerry has served as a Board Member on several not-for-profit institutions as well as serving as an officer and committee chair in most of the organizations. He frequently speaks before various organizations on the subjects of business and real property.  Jerry has received an AV® Preeminent^TM Peer Review Rating certified by Martindale-Hubbell, their highest rating available.

Jerry lives in Pacific Palisades with his wife Cynthia and enjoys spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
